Good morning to everyone,

I have a confession to make. In order to try to find more of our missing brothers, I went to the Alumni Office at the college the other day. I spoke to Hub Burton, who is the VP of Alumni Relations. He is a Delt (from the UofA - where I used to live) and I shared our email list with him. If anyone does not want the college to have your email address, please let me know and I'll get him to remove it from the college database.

I did, so far, get the addresses of 3 of our brothers that I didn't have. So it is a good thing in one way. The new brothers that are found are: Peter Noll , Bill Buzzell, and Todd Myers **removed for privacy reasons**. Welcome home guys.

Let me take a minute to get you up to speed as to what this email is for. Originally it was to encourage attendence at the chapters 40th Anniversary on the Marietta Campus. By the way that will be at homecoming this fall, October 24-26. I hope that you will be able to join us for the festivities. I will list below the names of the brothers who have let me know of thier intentions to be here in Marietta.

The email, over time has kind of taken on a life of its own, thanks to the efforts of several brothers. Almost every edition has notes from alums about what is going on with them. Also, from our email directory several brothers have gotten in touch with friends that they haven't talked to in years. You can access the directory at the chapter website www.marietta.edu/~delts the password is: **removed, if you need it please contact Rick Neel or the chapter** Please take advantage of it to contact some brothers you have lost contact with over the years. Also, if you are in contact with anyone that we don't have listed, let me know.

We also have a Blog - http://mcdeltalumni.blogspot.com where we have collected almost all of the emails, as well as messages from some other delt alums. Again, welcome back to EY, I hope to see you at homecoming.

Time is getting closer for our annual Alumni golf outing. It will be held the 4th weekend in April, that is the 26th. Dave Broome is coming in and we are planning on sitting down and going over some of the material he has collected for our 40th anniversary booklet. Anyone interested is welcome to sit in with us and throw in your 2cents worth. And if you have any memorabelia to share, bring it with you.

Steve Fox sent me the following note:

Hey Rick,
Steve Fox here (71). I will be unable to attend the reunion in October. My wife is retiring and we are going to Hawaii the for two weeks starting the 25th of October. Maybe I will make the next one. Enjoy your updates. Keep up the good work.
Steve

I just don't understand Steve, what possibly could Hawaii offer in October that Marietta doesn't? Just kidding, congratulations to your wife, may she have a very happy retirement. See you next time.

Neal Mettler sends the following;

Rick At this point in time I think I will be able to make it. Several of my daughters are planning on attending also.

How many daughters are you bringing Neal? Do we need to lock up the undergrads? Smitty Smith sent me the following note:

Rick,
I'm glad that I have been comfirmed for the 40th, but I have a few questions...!st to what address and to whom do we write the check to for the $50/person payment? And if we have pics from back in the day, would anyone want them to digitize and add to a slide show or the booklet? The reason I ask is cause I got some. Let me know.
your friendly neighborhood Smitty '00

I think I answered you Smitty, but if not, here goes. You can mail your check payable to Crescent Colony of Marietta, Inc. to Bob Ferguson at **removed**. Note on the check that it is for homecoming 08. You can mail your slides to me at **removed** and I'll see that they get to Dave Broome. Thanks for the slides, those are like gold to us.

From Greg Maloof I got this note and new address;

Rick,
As usual an excellent job !! Moving is a big pain for me; computer challenges are worse; and you seem to conquer both. Bruce Miller never ceases to amaze me. He had another great idea. Pam & I will be attending. Also, new e mail: **removed**. Thanks for all you do.
Greg

I have to agree with the statement about BAM. He seems to do that alot.

I have a commitment from Randy (AWK) Williams to lead the memorial service for our departed brothers at the banquet. He is an excellent ritualist and I'm sure he'll do a good job for us. This will be an opportunity for you to share a thought about one of our departed brothers. Let me relist the schedule of events for the 40th for those of you who may have missed it the last time.

Good morning Delts!

Let's see what is new and exciting on the DTD front. First of all, there is only about a month and 1/2 until the 2008 golf outing. It will be held the 4th weekend in April. That is the 26th. I hope that we have a good turnout for the day and that the weather cooperates with us. That also is DooDah day for the college, so it is a big weekend for the undergrads also. Make your plans to play.

Also, we are only 7+ months away from our 40th anniversary. I hope that everyone is making plans to come back to Marietta for that occasion. October 24-26th are the dates. I have been lining up speakers for our banquet, hopefully by the time I get done, I will have someone from every decade of our history. If you are interested, please contact me or Hops at the house. So far I have commitments from: Ken Kavula, Greg Maloof, Rich Wolf, Shawn Selby, Brian Rothenberg, Don Wolfe, Jordon Herrick, and Adam Hopkins. That covers the late 60's, early/mid 70's, mid/late 80's, early 90's, early/mid 00's, and the undergrads. So you see that we are still missing a few time periods.

The guidelines for a presentation, are about a 10 minute talk, covering anything you wish to talk about, covering your time period as a Delt at Marietta. We will have a computer availiable for a power point presentation, if you are interested in using that.

The undergrads have pledged an additional man this spring, his name is Brendon George. Congratulations Brendon and welcome. He gives the chapter 5 pledges for the spring.

Working with Ashley Woolam, we have found a public ceremony for our Brothers that have gone to the Chapter Eternal, and we are planning on having that at our banquet at the 40th. If you have a thought that you would like to share concerning one of our departed brothers, this will be an opportunity for you to do so.

Speaking of the banquet, and the rest of the weekend, we are planning on holding the cost to $50/person. That is for both the cruise and the banquet. We are asking for you to let us know that you are planning on coming so we can make arrangements for the # of seats we will need for the banquet. Also, the price for the cruise is dependent on the # of people that go. Please drop me or Jordon Stryker, the new chapter corresponding secretary, a note, just telling me what you will be attending and how many will be in your party. Jordan can be reached at jns001@marietta.edu, or at delts@marietta.edu That is important, for planning reasons.

Speaking of Jordon Stryker, he has recently posted the most recent issue of the Protimoi. It can be found at the chapter website, http://www.marietta.edu/~delts/ When I spoke to him at the last chapter meeting, he told me his goal was to publish 2 of them a semester. Check it out and let him know what you think.

I mailed this past week a box of pictures and articles from our history to Dave Broome, who has volenteered to put a booklet together for us. We are still looking for more material, but time is getting a bit short. Please send any stories or other stuff to me or Dave. Thanks.

I received the following note from Bruce Miller the other day, and I think it is a great idea.

Rick- How about listing everyone who's coming to the reunion so far? List
them by class & keep it updated and that may encourage more brothers to
attend. It could be at the end of each of your emails or listed on the
chapter site. Keep up the incredible work!~BAM

Unfortunately, for whatever reason (I moved recently and have misplaced many things, so I'll lay the blame there) I don't have the names of everyone who has let me know they are going to be there. I'll list those names I have, and as I hear from more people I'll keep it updated. Hopefully we can get it listed at the chapter website also. Here goes...

1960's - Greg Maloof, Ken Kavula, Frank Hirsch (I think)

1970's - Ted Smith, Lance Koved, Don Wolfe, Ron Rees, Bruce Miller, Bruce Masatsugu, Darrell Pritchard, Joe Matheny, Keith Zak (I think), Randy Williams, Rich Wolf, Bob Peterson, Al Head, Bob Kavula, Rick Dunsker, Peter Weiner, Chuck Robinson, Bob Burns, Rick Neel

1980's - Drew Kern, Jon Hartshorn, Brian Rothenberg

2000's - Craig Sundstrom, Andy Byers, Justin Nethers, Matt Dole, Corey Medina, Casey Trail, Chris "Smitty" Smith, Seth Wolfson, Trent Elliott, Jordon Herrick

I'm sure that I have left several names out, if I left you off, I'm sorry. Please drop me a line and let me know...For the rest of you, make your plans now to hook up with your friends that you haven't seen in a long time.

Here are some new addresses that I've received in the last month or so. Welcome back to EY guys, hope to see you in October. Brendon George '12, Jeffrey Myers '81, Dennis McNaboe '94, Dave Faunce '94, and an updated address, Craig Sundstrom '07. **addresses removed for privacy reasons**
